Introduction to KALE HEPP
KALE HEPP is situated at YEŞİLIRMAK River on the border of AMASYA Province in the Black Sea region, Turkey, with maximum water head 38.45m, minimum head 32.50m and total installed capacity 3x13000kW. The project consists of three vertical Kaplan hydroelectric generating sets with running speed of 333.3 rpm, the generator stator frame size 4250 and the propeller diameter 255cm.


Hangzhou Yatai Hydro Equipment Completing Co., Ltd., subsidiary of Hangzhou Regional Center for Small Hydropower (HRC) signed the completing electromechanical equipment supply contract on August 28, 2010, providing turbine, generator, main valve, governor, excitation system, SCADA system, oil, air and water system, and offered suggestions for surge tank design. The electro-mechanical equipment on-site installation started on December 20, 2011, lasting 14 months, and the three units were put into operation on February 28, 2013.
