Moung Hum Hydropower Station locates in Moung Hum River, which is a tributary in the left bank of Yifa River (a tributary in the right bank of Red River), in Lao Cai Province, north of Vietnam and about 40km from provincial capital of Lao Cai Province. The catchment above the dam site is 347.1km². The plant area is 360.1km². Moung Hum Hydropower Station is a run-of-river hydroelectric station which has its designed head of 110m, designed flow of 33.20m³/s, installed capacity of 2*16MW. The normal reservoir storage is 1,910,000 m³ and the total reservoir storage is 2,140,000 m³. The Station was connected to the grid in Apr. 2011.
