---Entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and co-organized by HRC and Human Resources Training Base for Belt & Road Initiative, the Ministry of Water Resources, P.R. China, Seminar on Water Resources Development and Water Treatment for Developing Countries was held successfully in Hangzhou from July 27th to August 9th, 2022. This is the 134th international training/seminar programs implemented by HRC. 49 officials and technicians from Ethiopia, Indonesia, Mauritius, Nepal, Nigeria, Rwanda and Sri Lanka attended the online seminar. Ms. Xu Jing, Deputy Director General, International Economic & Technical Cooperation and Exchange Center, Ministry of Water Resources, P.R. China (Human Resources Training Base for Belt & Road Initiative) and Dr. Xu Jincai, Director General of HRC were present at the opening and closing ceremony and delivered speeches.
Professors and experts including Mr. Hao Zhao, Secretary General of Lancang-Mekong Water Resources Cooperation Center, Ms. Shi Qiuchi, former Director General of International Economic & Technical Cooperation and Exchange Center, etc., were invited to give presentations on the topic of achievements, experiences and practices related to China's water resources management. Besides, online visits and cultural experiences were carried out and the achievements of China's water conservancy development and China's water culture were shared to all the participants.
During the seminar, participants from various countries delivered country reports respectively on the topic of water resources development and water treatment, and carried out in-depth exchange on the future cooperation among participating countries and with HRC, laying a foundation for the concrete cooperation in the near future.
