---During October 21-22, a delegation of three persons led by Dr. Nguyen Minh Viet, Director of the Institute for Hydro Power and Renewable Energy (IHR), Vietnam visited HRC. A meeting was arranged for discussing the further cooperation in water management, dam safety & risk management and renewable energy development, etc.
IHR and HRC have been long enjoying an overall and enhancing cooperation since the 1990s, and from then on, lots of cooperative activities had been initiated and accomplished successfully, including the inter-governmental cooperation on supply of thousands of micro hydropower sets, research & demonstration of SCADA system, and the recently-finished Emergency-supporting Technology for Rural Hydropower against Disasters and so on.
