---Entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by HRC, 2018 Training Course on Water Resources Investigation and Planning for Vietnam was held successfully in Hangzhou from 11 to 24 October. 20 participants from Vietnam came to attend the training course. Based on the concerted efforts of all lecturers, participants and HRC training team, this training course has achieved fruitful results. This training course is the 106th one implemented by HRC.
During the training course, lectures covering the topics of advanced technology and practical experience in the field of water resources investigation and planning were delivered. Site visit to the world-famous Three Gorges Project was arranged. Besides, visit to the city of Shanghai helped the participants to know better about the great achievements after the reform and opening-up policy. Meanwhile, a diversity of cultural activities enriched the participants' lives here in China. Moreover, country reports were presented by the participant representative on water resources development, management, planning and utilization and other subjects based on their national conditions, and they also attended International Symposium on Dam Safety and Risk Management in Nanjing. Based on full communication and sharing of technical experience in the field of water resources, in-depth discussions on future cooperation were made between participants and HRC staffs.
Mr. Fan Aihua, Division Chief from Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce, and Mr. Xu Jincai, Director General of HRC, were present at the closing ceremony, and awarded the certificates to all the participants.
The training course is warmly welcomed and highly appraised by the participants. Mr. Nguyen Nhan Tuan, Senior Officer of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) of Vietnam, on behalf of all the participants, expressed high respect to the government of China, extended sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce of China and HRC, and gave high evaluation and full affirmation to the training course. The participants expected to maintain close contact with HRC and to carry out more productive cooperation in the field of water resources by taking advantage of the good opportunity of the training course.(2018-10-31)
