---Entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by HRC, 2018 Seminar on Electrification Mode based on Clean Energy for Countries under Belt & Road Initiative was held successfully in Hangzhou from 20 June to 10 July. 23 officials from 7 countries along the belt and road, including Afghanistan, DPR Korea, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Uzbekistan and Venezuela came to attend the seminar. Based on the concerted efforts of all lecturers, participants and HRC training team, this seminar has achieved fruitful results. This seminar is the 99th seminar or training workshop implemented by HRC.
During the seminar period, lectures covering the topics of advanced technology and practical experience in the field of clean energy and rural electrification were delivered. Besides, site visits to the world famous Three Gorges project, typical hydropower stations, solar project, wind farm and equipment manufacturers were arranged during the seminar period. Moreover, country reports were presented by participants to share their technical experience and concrete practices in the field of clean energy and rural electrification, and in-depth discussions on future cooperation were made between participants and HRC staffs.
Mr. Fan Aihua, Division Chief from Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce and Mr. Huang Jianping, Deputy Director General of HRC, were present at the grand closing ceremony, and awarded the certificates from the Ministry of Commerce to all the participants.
The seminar was warmly welcome and highly evaluated by the participating countries, and its successful fulfillment laid a solid foundation for HRC to actively implement the guiding spirit of the Belt and Road Initiative, and to carry out the in-depth and friendly cooperation with the countries along the belt and road in the field of clean energy and electrification.(2018-07-20)
