---Supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Water Resources, China, and jointly organized by the Lancang-Mekong River Water Resources Cooperation Center and HRC, the young talent exchange of water resources between China and ASEAN countries was successfully held in Hangzhou during June 28th-30th, 2018. The Director General Dr. XU Jincai, the Deputy Director General Mr. HUANG Jianping and colleagues from the Division of Foreign Affairs and Training of HRC warmly welcomed over 30 young talents of water field from 9 ASEAN countries. Mr. LIN Ning, the Director of Foreign Affairs and Training Division, lectured on "Small Hydropower Development and Rural Electrification in China" and briefed “The South-South Cooperation of HRC”. Prof. HUANG Jianping, the Deputy Director General, directed in-depth expertise exchanges on the development of green and ecological small hydropower among all the ASEAN representatives.
During their stay in Hangzhou, ASEAN participants visited China Water Museum and learned about China's long history of water control and brilliant achievements in water management. The Deputy Division Chief of Lancang-Mekong River Water Resources Cooperation Center, Mr. GAO Lihong and the representatives of Hohai University attended all the activities in Hangzhou. The success of this exchange event will help to enhance understanding and establish bilateral & multi-lateral cooperation, which will effectively promote the establishment of China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Center on Renewable Energy.(2018-07-05)
