---On June 20, 2018 Seminar on Electrification Mode Based on Clean Energy for Countries under Belt & Road Initiative sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, P.R. China and implemented by Hangzhou Regional Center (Asia & Pacific) for Small Hydro Power, was inaugurated successfully. Among the 23 participants of the seminar are officials from Afghanistan, D.P.R. Korea, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Uzbekistan and Venezuela. Mr. Xu Jincai, Director General of HRC, Mr. Huang Jianping, Deputy Director General of HRC, and staff from Division of Foreign Affairs and Training were present at the opening ceremony, and Mr. Xu Jincai addressed the opening ceremony.
This seminar is the 99th international training/seminar programs undertaken by HRC. During the seminar, presentations on different topics will be delivered including China in brief, renewable energy development and application, small hydropower equipment, "Belt and Road" cooperation, small hydropower exploitation, SCADA system, solar energy technology and its application, multi-energy smart grid, wind power technology and its application. Besides, the participants will visit some typical wind, solar and hydro power plants and manufacturers, the world famous Three Gorges Project and Gezhouba water-conservancy project, etc. This seminar will promote the exchange of advanced technology and applicable equipment in the field of clean energy including hydro, wind and solar energy, and facilitate widely cooperation in the field of clean energy and rural electrification between countries under the Belt & Road Initiative.
