---At the invitation of Energy Development Co., Ltd. (EDCL) of Rwanda Energy Group, Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) of Ethiopia, Uganda Electricity Generation Co., Ltd. (UEGCL) and Power Technology Solution Ltd. (PTSL) of Kenya, HRC dispatched staffs to visit Rwanda, Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya respectively for bilateral and multi-lateral cooperation on capacity building, joint R+D, project demonstration and technical transfer etc. during May 2-13, and this visit achieved fruitful results.
HRC has already set up extensive and intensive cooperative relationships with most African countries. With strong supports of Chinese government for extending cooperation with Africa, HRC has been actively carrying out foreign-aid training, technical transfer, inter-governmental sci.-tech. collaboration and project demonstration in past years and gradually, many projects of capacity export have been scored. In May 2017, China-Africa Technical Transfer, Research and Training Center on Clean Energy and Rural Electrification was established with the joint efforts of HRC and AASTU, which is fundamentally engaged in accelerating the China-Africa Cooperation Plan and the “Belt and Road” Initiative, thus being welcome and applauded by all the African countries since its setting-up.
The delegation visited governmental authorities, top officials and Chinese embassies in those countries, also signed MOU, prepared for trainings and seminars, shared know-how and discussed the to-be-demonstrated projects, which resumed the follow-up work and the action plan of China-Africa Technical Transfer, Research and Training Center on Clean Energy and Rural Electrification. Meanwhile, great importance was also attached to local marketing and concrete cooperative projects, which much more, helped the export of Chinese technologies and electro-mechanical equipment in the field of renewable energy.(2018-05-31)
