---In order to comprehensively carry out the spirit of the national innovation meeting on science and technology and the Outline of the National Strategy of Innovation-Driven Development, Ministry of Water Resources recently releases the Opinions on Implementation of Innovation-Driven Development Strategy to Strengthen Water Science and Technology Innovation to further deepen the system reform on water science and technology, strengthen the water innovation on science and technology, and support and lead the water reform and development.
The Opinions consist of 8 chapters and 24 articles, including the guideline and development goal, deepening water science and innovation system reform, enhancing the researches on major water science and technologies, fastening the building of the innovation platforms on water science and technology, accelerating the transformation and application of water science and technology outcomes, emphasizing the training of water science and technology talents, promoting the international science and technology cooperation, and improving the policies on water science and technology.
The Opinions identify that the level of water science and technology innovation of China will reach to the forefront in the world by 2020, and the contribution rate of water science and technology innovation will account for 60%, meeting the requirement for building the new-typed country.
