---Entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce of China and organized by HRC, 2016 Training Course on Integrated Management of River Basins for Southeast Asian Countries was held successfully from 13th October to 2nd November in Hangzhou. 18 participants from 3 Southeast Asian countries including Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam attended the training. This is the 85th international training program HRC implemented since her establishment.
During the training, presentations and site visits were arranged, including the Three Gorges Project, Suzhou River Tidal Gate Project and other typical hydropower plants. Each country presented a country report on the subject of integrated management and development of river basins. With full exchange of technical expertise, an in-depth discussion on the follow-up cooperation was conducted between participants and HRC specialists.
Prof. Dai Jiqun, Vice President of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, and Prof. Huang Jianping, Deputy Director of HRC presented at the closing ceremony and delivered the speech. Participants highly evaluated the training course and expressed their willingness to enhance cooperation between China and their respective countries as to promote the capacity-building, research and development of water resources in their own countries.
