HRC Delegation Visited Chinese Mission to the African Union

   ---On 25 July, led by Director General Dr. Xu Jincai, HRC delegation visited Counsellor Mr. Zhang Lianyou and Counsellor Mr. Chen Ning of the Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the African Union. Dr. Xu briefed HRC's cooperative achivements with African countries and discussed the proposal on setting-up of "Technical Transfer, Research and Training Center on Clean Energy and Rural Electrification for Africa" in Ethiopia. The Chinese Mission to the African Union appreciate and support the exisitng and follow-up acitivities of HRC in Africa. Later on, HRC signed MOU with Addis Ababa Science and Technology University (AASTU) and ZTE (H.K) Limited Ethiopia Branch (ZTE) to jointly build up "China-Africa Technical Transfer, Research and Training Center on Clean Energy and Rural Electrification", aiming to achieve expertise sharing, technical training, joint research and project demonstration etc. The technical training and project demonstration based on clean energy could fully display the advantages of Chinese technology and equipment, so that international cooperation on technology, equipment fabrication and supply, and the related standards in the clean energy field of China can be promoted to overseas markets, which is also in pace with the Chinese strategy of "One Belt and One Road" construction. Meanwhile, it will also contribute to the local capacity-building and the promotion of technical level for rural electrification in Africa as well.(2016-09-13)
