---On May 3rd, 2016, a delegation of 3 persons headed by Dr. Bernard Salomé, Advisor to President of Cote d' Ivoire, visited HRC. Mr. Xu Jincai, Director General of HRC, together with Chiefs from Research and Development Center, and Division of Foreign Affairs and Traning, attended the meeting.
The country of Cote d' Ivoire is mainly powered by gas, coal, etc. and is in great demand for the development of renewable energy. The western part of the country abounds in water resources, and the northern part is potentially photovoltaic, while the middle part is agriculturally developed. Currently, 5000 villages in the countryside is urgently to be electrified, which creates a big potential market.
After the meeting, both sides reached a concensus on capacity-building, technical research, project demonstration and popularization etc. in Cote d' Ivoire and other western African countries. Meanwhile, HRC will strengthen its relationship with energy authorities of Cote d' Ivoire, thus promoting the bilateral cooperation.(2016-05-06)
