Ms. Cheng Xialei Visited Minister of State in charge of Energy and Water, Ministry of Infrastructure of Rwanda

   ---In the afternoon of July 10th, a 4-people delegation led by Ms. Cheng Xialei, Director General of HRC, visited H.E. Ms. Germaine Kamayirese, Minister of State in charge of Energy and Water, Ministry of Infrastructure of Rwanda in Kigali. Ms. Cheng informed the Minister of the purpose of organizing this training course as well as the previous achievements in small hydropower cooperation between HRC and related Rwandan authorities. H.E. Ms. Germaine Kamayirese appreciated the strong supports of Chinese side to Rwanda regarding technical training and consultations. She also agreed to the great benefits to the local technicians in case such a training course can be arranged in Rwanda, and the training program can be tailor-made. She hoped HRC could continuously undertake the training course on small hydropower and other renewable energies for more and more engineers in Rwanda. Ms. Cheng invited Her Excellency to present at the closing ceremony of "2015 Training Course on Small Hydropower Technology for Rwanda" and attend "2015 Ministerial Workshop on Water Resources Management & Planning". The Minister was very interested in these two events and expressed her willingness to attend.(2015-08-17)
