---On 6th July, a sunny day in the
midsummer of the beautiful city Hangzhou, the grand closing
ceremony of 2011 Training Workshop on SHP Technology for
Developing Countries was held in HRC Conference Hall,
where the flowers bloomed luxuriantly. Totally 42 officials
or engineers from 23 countries in the four continents
attended this 42-day training program.
The ceremony started in a cordial
and harmonious atmosphere. Firstly, Mr. Fan Aihua, Division
Chief of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang, extended
the sincere congratulations on the successful conclusion
of this training workshop on behalf of the Department
of Aids to Foreign Countries, MOFCOM and the Department
of Commerce of Zhejiang. He also expressed his heartfelt
thanks to HRC for having fulfilled the requirements for
training from Ministry of Commerce, organized the workshop
in a scientific and rigorous way, and made selfless contributions
to the successful conclusion of this workshop. To all
the participants in this workshop, Mr. Fan expressed his
respect as they had overcome barriers on languages, ways
of life, culture and customs, etc. to finish all the study
courses through their own endeavors. Mr. Fan hoped that
all the participants would take this workshop as the opportunity
and platform to work as a bridge to promote the friendship
between Chinese people and the people in their countries.
He added: "Through this, we can intensify the economic
and trade cooperation and cultural exchange among our
countries, promote the application of SHP worldwide so
that we can make our own contributions to the economic
development, poverty alleviation, environmental protection
and mutual development."
Ms. Cheng Xialei, Director of HRC,
who was on a business trip, earnestly wrote the text of
a speech and entrusted Mr. Pan Daqing, Chief of Training
and Foreign Affairs of HRC to read it at the closing ceremony.
Ms. Cheng made an overall summing-up of the implementation
and results of the training program, and expressed her
sincere gratitude to all the participants for their serious
attitude towards studies and friendly cooperation during
the whole training period, providing an important guarantee
to the success of this significant project. Special thanks
were also given to the three monitors for their kind coordination
and communication services for the class. Ms. Cheng warmly
invited all the participants to visit HRC, the "family
of SHP in the world" frequently in future ----"the
door of HRC will open to you forever." -----the participants
were deeply moved by the affability and kindness.
Mr. Zhu Xiaozhang, Honorary Director
of HRC also delivered an enlightening address full of
care and wisdom of a senior person. "China is open
to share its developing experience and always give other
developing countries what they need, not what we want.
It should be of no doubt that China could be a trusted,
moderate and pragmatic partner of developing countries."

On behalf of all the participants,
the monitor Benjamin from Rwanda expressed the special
thanks to the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic
of China, to HRC as well as its staff. He extended their
heartfelt gratitude to the training program management
group for their hard and high-efficient work and selfless
devotion, to the lecturers for the wonderful presentations,
as well as the staff of Ruidi Hotel for the remarkable
job they had done, which enabled their stay in Hangzhou
and other places they visited, the most comfortable and
enjoyable, and ensured them to make the maximum out of
this training. "We have received lectures, visited
manufacturing companies and made important study tours
including the visit of the world largest hydropower plant,
"Three Gorge Project", all of which made a significant
contribution to the overall gain we made out of this training
workshop ¡¡These have broadened our horizon in respect
to Small Hydropower industry with Chinese characteristics;
we have been empowered with the knowledge and the state-of-the-art
technology, so that we may return to our respective countries
and have a positive impact in the area of clean energy
for electricity production." -----in the end of his
speech, the monitor couldn't help cheering "Long
Live the People's Republic of China!"¡¡ The hall
resounded with applause ¡¡
All the participants had a common
idea that they took pleasure to attend this rewarding
event, to share the acquired expertise via such platform
to benefit their respective countries. They hope that
the sponsors and organizers would continue providing this
type of training for the knowledge transfer, and the cooperation
between China and the rest of the developing countries
would definitely be strengthened.
Mr. Xu Jincai, Deputy Director of NRIRE
and Ms. Jia Chunxian, Project Manager with the Department
of Commerce of Zhejiang Province were also present at
the closing ceremony.
Upon the endof the ceremony, holding
happily the certificates issued by MOFCOM and the gifts
from HRC, the participants took photos with the leaders,
lecturers and staff one after another. At that joyful
moment, no one would like to part, and everybody sincerely
wished that the friendship would be everlasting and the
