---On April 14th, with the support
of Serbian Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and National
Office of Energy Efficiency, under the auspices of Serbian
Power Company, a seminar entitled "A Great Chance
for Serbian Small Hydropower" was held by "Central
European Development Forum" in southern Serbia, Ivanjica.
100 people including professionals and related representatives
attended the seminar. According to relevant data, the
potential generation output of hydropower in Serbia is
1.7 billion kWĄ¤h/ year, about 60% of which has been developed
and utilized by Serbian Power Company. Based on the researches
and investigations conducted by Serbian research institutes
of water conservancy and hydropower during recent 20 years,
856 SHP stations can be developed in Serbia. At present,
31 SHP stations have been built in Serbia, with the installed
capacity of 34.6MW and the annual electricity generation
of 150 million kWĄ¤h.(2011-05-11)
