---On September 17, 2010, CEO Mr. Warren
Woo and Mr. Allan Guo from Hydro Development Ltd. of Papua
New Guinea Visited HRC. Mr. Huang Jianping, Deputy Director
of National Research Institute for Rural Electrification
met with the delegation.
Deputy Director Huang Jianping introduced
the guests NRIRE (HRC)'s briefing, efforts and achievements
in the field of small hydropower (SHP), as well as the
experience in SHP development in China. Mr. Huang, together
with the chiefs of the relevant divisions, also discussed
with the visitors about the cooperation on SHP exploitation
in Papua New Guinea.
Papua New Guinea is rich in SHP resources.
However, so far its electrification rate is only about
20%. The guests expressed that they were deeply impressed
with HRC's completely specialized expert team, perfect
facilities and rich experience in domestic and international
development of SHP. They sincerely hoped to cooperate
with HRC on the development of the abundant SHP resources
in Papua New Guinea.
The chiefs of the Division of Foreign
Affairs and Training, the New-Tech R&D Center for
M & SHP and the Planning & Design Institute for
M & SHP also attended the meeting.(2010-09-19)
