---On 25th Jan, president of Nanjing
Hydraulic Research Institute, Zhang Jianyun, other leaders
Sun Jinhua, Zuo Qihua, Bai Wenzheng, Liu Heng, etc. and
leaders of relevant functional departments, came to HRC,
attending the meeting of summarizing the work of 2007
and commending advanced staffs. The HRC working staff,
some retired leaders, retired representatives attended
the meeting.
Chen Shengshui, director of HRC, hosted
the meeting. The leaders and staff who attended meeting
listened to the working reports made by the leaders of
HRC. Then the leaders were democratically appraised by
the relevant functional departments.
Then Ms. Cheng Xialei, executive deputy
director of HRC, reported the work of 2007 and the initial
plan of 2008. After hearing the report, Mr. Zhang Jianyun,
president of Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, said:
the working result of 2007 of HRC was brilliant, leaders
of HRC put emphasis on building spiritual civilization,
establishing a new tread, stressing unity, especially
strengthening contacts, smoothed relations with the competent
sector departments and received support from it.
When discussing on the work of HRC
of 2008, director Zhang said: First HRC should attach
importance to the scientific research, strive the national
public benefit projects; Second, HRC should foster a sense
of service, do a good job in the technical supporting
work, expand the influence of HRC in the industry; third,
make good use of HRC, well-known both at home and abroad,
emphasis on the training work, make more friends; Fourth,
HRC should strengthen scientific and technological innovations,
raise the ability and the level of scientific research
; Fifth, HRC should strengthen to build a harmonious institution;
Sixth, HRC should be concerned about the livelihood of
retired staff, let them play certain role.
President Zhang introduced the progress
of renovating HRC's office building, the preparation of
two international academic conferences: on the dam safety
and on CDM, the status of the scientific research and
production of NHRI in 2007 to those who attended the meeting.
Sun Jinhua, Zuo Qihua, Bai Wenzheng,
Liu Heng, etc. respectively gave an effusive speech. At
the end of the meeting, leaders of NHRI awarded honor
certificates to HRC's advanced divisions and staff elected.(2008-01-30)
