order to further strengthen the relationship between foreign
water high-tech
enterprises and domestic users, and promote exchange of
water technology
between China and foreign countries, 2004 Promotion Conference
of International
Advanced Water Technology is to be held in the picturesque
city of Hangzhou,
China in upcoming May.
Strongly supported by the Dept.
of International Cooperation, Science &
Technology of MWR, and National Administration Office
for "948 Projects", and
also organized by Science and Technology Promotion Center
of MWR, this
conference will be implemented by Hangzhou Regional Center
(Asia-Pacific) for Small Hydro Power, Beijing HiWater
Hi-tech Company Limited and China Water
Science Info Network, with its concerned details announced
as follows:
I. Time
From 11 May to 12 May, 2004
II. Form of Conference
1. This conference includes a
convention on introducing water high-tech &
product, and group meetings combining technical discussion
with information
exchange. Simultaneously, China Water Science Info Network
will present a live
report on its website;
2. MWR leaders are to be invited
for opening remarks at this conference, and
meanwhile, correspondents will give full attention to
the highlights of this
conference;
3. Participants are required to
recommend technologies or equipment by the
means of multimedia such as PowerPoint etc.;
4. Some sectors related to water
scientific research, management and water
technical application etc. will take part in this conference
for carrying out
active surveys, consultations and appraisals and so on;
5. Experts are invited to evaluate
and recommend advanced know-how to be listed
into a catalog that will be taken as reference by MWR
when introducing
advanced water technology for promotion in 2005;
6. After closing this conference,
each kind of most attractive technology (or
product) will be presented every day on the homepage of
China Water Science
Info Network according to the finalized catalog of advanced
water technology
for promotion.
III. Schedule
1. April 15 is the closing date
for application (please download an Application
Form from China Water Science Info Network);
2. During April 16-17, the Organizing
Committee will examine the provided
technology (or product);
3. On April 18, the Organizing
Committee will formally inform these enterprises
which are approved to join this conference with their
selected technologies
(or products);
4. During April 18-26, approved
enterprises must register (please download a
Registration Form from China Water Science Info Network,
and back to the
Organizing Committee via email);
5. From April 26 to 30, the Organizing
Committee shall sort out, evaluate and
determine the technologies (or products) to be displayed,
and all participants
shall make full preparations for technical recommendation;
6. In mid May, this promotion
conference is to be held.
IV. Application &
Registration
1. Registration
Interested foreign enterprises
and their agents are required to deliver the
application form before April 15, and after being noticed
by the Organizing
Committee on April 18, shall send the registration form
and concerned technical
materials via email before April 26.
2. Fees
1) Registration fee
US$400 or RMB3,300 for multimedia
presentation of one technology (or product),
and US$200 or RMB1600 for dissemination of written technical
data or
information of each technology (or product);
2) The Secretariat of this conference
helps to arrange accommodation for all
participants, with expenses borne from attendees themselves.
