Hangzhou Regional Center(Asia-Pacific)for Small Hydro Power(HRC)

--- Since the beginning of last 1980s, HRC (Hangzhou Regional Center (Asia-Pacific) for Small Hydro Power) started to research and develop SHP (small hydropower) unmanned automatic control system, and also learned some successful experience from those developed countries. With supports from the "Fund Program" and the "948 Program" of Ministry of Water Resources, this automatic control system gradually matured and achieved reliable quality, easy maintenance and high performance/cost rate, and which is widely popular at small hydropower stations. Until now it has been already popularized and applied at almost 100 stations in over 10 China's provinces and cities, and meanwhile, exported to some developing countries such as Vietnam etc. This award is really a great encourage given to HRC for continuing its contribution into water resources science, and thus HRC staffs would further spare no effort to contributing more to the rural hydro electrification in China.
