--- In the afternoon of 17th August, the Indian guest Mr.Jamir paid a visit to Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute, accompanied by D.Pan of HRC Secretariat. Deputy Director. Mr. Li Yun received the guest. The guest mentioned that the 8 northeastern provinces in India are remote and relatively poor, and the majority of the local farmers do not have access to electricity yet. After the introduction and the visit to the real micro packaged units, the guest was excited to express that such equipment could be the solution to the energy problem for the local farmers in that area of India and he'd lobby the province officials to give more support in both policy and finance.
    In high spirit and against the rain, the guest went to see Zhongshan Mausoleum in the afternoon of that day. (2003-08-23)
