Two Specialists of HRC to Cuba for Guiding the Equipment Installation

   --- Two specialists of HRC have gone to Cuba for guiding the electrical and mechanical equipment installation for Corojo and Moa SHP stations.
    These two SHP stations belong to those aid projects to foreign countries by the Chinese government. HRC undertakes the task of design and complete equipment supply. Both the SHP technology and equipment are from China.
    Corojo SHP Station lies in Bayamo city of Grama province in Cuba, 18 km away from the city. The installed capacity of the station is 2x1000 kW, the design head 23.7 m, the design discharge 11.5 m3/s. The Moa SHP Station is located in Moa city of Orkin province and is 15 away from the city. Its installed capacity is 2x1000 kW, the design head 48.8 m and the design discharge 5.6 m3/s. After the completion of the two stations, all the electricity will be transmitted into the national power grids so as to alleviate the current power shortage in the country to a certain extent.(2003-02-28)
